| Metric – Help, I'm Alive Lyrics

This song reminds me how their sound has gradually become diluted over time, but it still holds up pretty well. They always find a way to cleverly disguise the 'four catchy chords' in their songs with bridges or changing the time signature here and there. |

| Radiohead – I Am a Wicked Child Lyrics

For some reason when I hear this song I think of a neverending spawn of guilt. As people have mentioned already, it's ingrained into the child that he's immediately negligent for all his actions. This ideal then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and the kind-hearted Christian is really the devil in disguise - wishing to be God. He then spawns his child - Jesus - in the hopes of attaining that lofty goal. The kid repeats the cycle, etc, etc |

| Rush – New World Man Lyrics

I always had the impression that this song is about the affect that technology is having on society. Particularly the ability to give a person the knowledge to deal with more problems, all the while they still lack the actual ability to deal with these issues. The new world man has increased potential, but is still lacking a practical output. |

Sounds like a social commentary on the prototypical supersex being and how they're really robots. All the elements seem to be there - the oedipus complex, the ambition for money, getting pregnant after clubbing, the hot oil. |

Yea, I sent this to my gf today because it sounded nice and harmless - even though the real meaning is entirely sinister. |
