"I havent laughed this hard in a long time, better stop now before i start crying" this is about a girl he just recently connected with so well he just stayed up all night with and laughed for the first time in a long time, but he knows it wont last, hence the reason he better stop before he starts crying. "shes a sight to see, shes good to me, but im already somebodys baby. shes a pretty thing and she knows everything, but im already somebodys baby" this is him saying that this girl has nothing wrong with her and everything he would want in a girl, but he just cant be with her due to the fact he is already somebodys baby. "You don't deserve to be lonely, But those drugs you got won't make you feel better, Pretty soon you'll find it's the only little part of your life you're keeping together" after just getting out of rehab and being sober, i think he's trying to show if ur with hard drugs, u cant be with anyone else, it just wont work. "I'm nice to you, I could make it through, That you're already somebody's baby, I could make you smile, If you stayed a while, But how long will you stay with me, baby?" hes realizing here that it will never work no matter what. "Because your candle burns too bright, Well, I almost forgot it was twilight, Even if I think that you are right, Well, I'm tired of being down, I got no fight" hes tired of waiting for this girl no matter how great she is, he's done waiting he's going back to the drugs. "You're wonderful, And it's beautiful, But I'm already somebody's baby, And if I went with you, I'd disappoint you too, Well, I'm already somebody's baby, Already somebody's baby." now hes just saying it's too late, he already did it, he couldn't wait any longer, and he went back to the drugs.
