it might be because you're spelling it wrong.
"levee -
1. An embankment raised to prevent a river from overflowing.
2. A small ridge or raised area bordering an irrigated field.
3. A landing place on a river; a pier."
He's most likely referring to the third definition. It's basically a cliff overlooking a landlocked body of water or a river; a dam. |

i think this song is absolutely gorgeous. it's so pure and lovely. the lyrics may not fit to you, but i can imagine someone on a road trip feeling mellow and pensive. it's got a definite bittersweet feel to it. |

I really like this song. Broken Social Scene has long been a source of good music, although (and i might be mistaken) is this not something that canning did independently? In any case, this song is no exception.
The "oohs" are almost animal collective reminiscent, to me. |
