| To me, it seems to be about a suicide, and it sounds as if the narrator had attempted to help, but the subject was overwhelmed. "she" was most likely a mother, who left behind the father. | |

To me, this songs seems to be able to relate a lot to a pregnancy, perhaps from an affair, and either a subsequent miscarriage or abortion. Verse 1: Its obviously a some time after the event, describing an outsiders temptation, and his conception of child Verse 2: The person may have misled the woman into trusting him, keeping their love a secret. Verse 3: The woman may be pregnant with the mans child, but keeping it concealed Verse 4: The child is aborted or suffers a miscarriage. I partial to abortion, to me it sounds like a deliberate end. The song ends describing the burden of guilt and request for a level of forgiveness. That's just my take, this whole album seems to find a way to personally relate to me though. |
