Either they're a couple and they just cannot physically be together or it is about a crush. On balance it is probably a couple that can't be together. The line "Every night I rush to my bed, With hopes that maybe I'll get a chance to see you when I close my eyes" sounds like she is prevented from physically seeing him. And to me the line "not even death can make us part" sounds like they're already a couple. It would say "...could make us part" if this were a crush. |
