kirsty, you're certainly not clueless... you really opened my eyes to something that was so obvious. I don't think you're entirely right though. I think the most obvious comparison is to compare love to an addiction. However the amount of knowledge you have has opened my eyes to the amount of knowledge adam must have and must have had some kind of contact with a heavier injecting drug, the references to blue rather than yellow would be a good indicator towards meth. Well done. |

I agree that this song is about "cheating" "Lover lover on the fence" "I climb the fence that you've been sitting on" The fence, being the well known metaphor of someone who can't choose a side. The chorus - "bat your eyes and ball a fist and swing" reminds me of Brand New - Shower Scene lyrics... "The Bullet or the chapstick" I believe this is a similar kind of message. (Since this song is clearly a memory from long time ago could it be the same situation??) "Swing" itself has multiple meanings. Swing as in to punch (put me out my misery or not). Swinging of the "two hinged doorway" "Swing" could also be related to "Swinging" as in the sharing of partners for sex. Hope this helps :) |
