I think this song is actually quite spiritual and a very sweet song. She's not being bitter toward God at all, she's saying that we [who believe in God] need to acknowledge that God is there in the good times too. So many people turn to God when they're in turmoil but they never give Him a passing glance when they're laughing with friends, making jokes at a party, or even when the crazy religious people start saying that He hates us or that He wants to send us to hell or when we start comparing Him to Santa Claus. She's saying that we need to lighten up a bit and laugh at these things, and also see that God's laughing with us in the good times in our lives when we're happy, and that He's not only there when we're struggling. |

I think this song has a very simple message to it. It's just her creative way of saying that you should be charitable to other people and be honest, and don't keep what's not yours even if you don't have what they do. |
