Don't know what this song is about but I like what it says in the album sleeve about who plays what instruments and when it gets to someone near the end it says "and climbing inside a grand piano and playing it like a harp, whatever that is called, because he did that at the end of Ballet D'or" |

I think Adam Duritz wrote this about waking up on sunday mornings regretting who you've slept with the night before. In brighton he said something along the lines of "waking up and realizing you need to get the f**k out. Hasn't everyone had one of those mornings". That really sums it up, doesn't it. |

Duritz said that parts of this song had been written for years and he thought he wasn't read or hadn't experienced enough to pull it all together in the past but when they made this album, they felt they were ready to make it because of what they had experienced in life and because the song was about life.
When he said that I can see what he means about parts of it being written years before, as they appear in several older crows songs. |

I saw counting crows this spring (2009) and Adam Duritz said, before playing this, that it was "A love song, a goofy love song, but I like it" (I think that was the quote anyway, it had a very similar meaning).
I think it's a great song and I like it. |
