| Deerhunter – Desire Lines Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I'm glad you liked what you saw! I've been a fan since they toured with Nine Inch Nails a couple years ago. It's amazing stuff. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OhGRf4x3TE&feature=related And: http://absurdistmedia.com/post/1498967592/deerhunter-helicopter-he-would-have-laughed-live As for this song, I believe the instrumentals at the end really do represent "walking free," and it's placement on the album is important, too (it divides up the first half and the second half). |

| Autolux – Spots Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Your face It changes my sight I see how you've been I can't tell if this is right It's been a long time for me to wait The last sign on the wall was strange It made me feel drunk and sad Flashed out Your eyes drop and unwind for Angela Vickers Your conscience is lightweight like mine Your heartbeat just flickers Another catatonic birthday cake You can't go back and blow the past in place Getting free put so much in our way The last sign on the wall was strange It made me feel drunk and sad |

| Autolux – Kissproof Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
There's nothing more embarrassing That's so official I might have guessed your processing Was flawed and crucial This planet wants to spit you out And keep your shoes Our saturated atmosphere belongs to you You're gettin' in the way This operation's not for us No silver lining Even with your mouth sewn shut Your voice is blinding Wake up crossed out in borrowed shoes This overrated atmosphere makes you kissproof You're gettin' in the way |

| My Bloody Valentine – Soft as Snow (But Warm Inside) Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Thank you for that image, Boreq -_- I love these lyrics buts it's hard for me to get into the actual music - I wish it weren't as stop-start as it is... |

| Stars – Set Yourself on Fire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Ace interpretation: desire is "it". I really didn't want "it" to be death, because if you take the last stanza as a warning rather than an assurance, it gives it a happier quality. Still not too sure about the "nothing after that but you and me" part. |
|
| Deerhunter – Circulation Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Nah, I hear "mere wives and lovelives." Makes sense, because Bradford said he's never been on a date and has kinda given up on it =\ He's disenchanted by his medical problems and the false hopes of the world, but the second half of the song shows the bittersweet beauty in what still remains. Maybe. |

| Nine Inch Nails – 18 Ghosts II Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| No love for one of the best Ghosts songs??? 18 is really a gem; funky electronics versus twangy guitar lines, and it goes on and onnnn. Trippy last couple of seconds, too. Always like to listen to it on the go. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – 27 Ghosts III Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Eh, the bass is very lyrical, if you know what I mean... I picture train tracks, or a road (like the photo associated with this song shows), but a blazing red sky as well, like the world on fire before the sadness of 28 Ghosts. |
|
| Nine Inch Nails – 30 Ghosts IV Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Trent sampled Saddam Hussein banging the bar in the courtroom for this song from a YouTube video. | |
| Converge – In Her Blood Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"you are nothing more than a dim lit whore" it's awesome how something so nursery rhyme-sounding becomes so powerful and hateful when yelled over a badass bassline. |

| Deerhunter – Neither of Us, Uncertainly Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Little Kids: "To get older still". :-P |
|
| Deerhunter – Neither of Us, Uncertainly Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
The last minute and a half of this song could repeat for hours and I wouldn't mind at all. Nothing happens like we expect when growing older, and we're always growing older. |

| Deerhunter – Twilight at Carbon Lake Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Never Stops: "Winter in my heart, it never stops". Twilight At Carbon Lake: "Wave goodbye to the waves and frozen shit within your heart". Definitely a connection. Twilight At Carbon Lake is Bradford singing to himself. Though I'm not sure what "waves of grain" and "center of the state". Being he's from Georgia, it could be just another place that's important to him that he's listing will help him find peace and warmth: the beach, the ocean, the mirror, a parking lot (his high school's? Remember Wash Off's "in the parking lot of my high school"...), the Georgian grain fields. I personally don't hear the last lines in the song... maybe "So long". |
|
| Deerhunter – Green Jacket Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Lyrics are somewhat straightforward, but I have no idea about the last line... It's delivery after everything else and the way Bradford seems like he's two miles away when he sings it. The piano chords right in the middle are excellent. | |
| Deerhunter – VHS Dream Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Fuchi900's lyrics are great, but the only thing: I hear more than "miracles of youth". It fits, but I believe it's something more. | |
| Deerhunter – Lake Somerset Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Okay, but I still haven't figured out the song! Another exaggerated metaphor for Bradford's teenage life? It seems that's what the album Cryptograms is all about. This is an incarnation of the wild, raucous part of that life. | |
| Deerhunter – Cryptograms Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Pretty much a metaphor for the whole album that follows it. | |
| Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony No. 9 in D Minor (Op. 125) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Haha, I'm pretty sure drpoundsign was referring to the epic quality of the lyrics that, when spoken aloud in English, have an over-the-top, heavy-metal feel to them. I agree on all fronts about the music, though! |
|
| Nine Inch Nails – Corona Radiata Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| There's a cat...and a baby screaming? This goes in with the conception/rebirth theme. The Four Of Us Are Dying shows the layers peeling back from the shell, and Demon Seed is the birth. Pretty sure this album is not about YZ, but rather Trent's life as a musician and fitting in and keeping relevancy. | |
