I love this song and have now made it my No.1 absolute favorite song of all time, and I first heard it back in 2008 when I was having a really hard, hellacious year. I believe the song is about an addict, and maybe not just a drug addict but any addict, and when Bono says "If I could you know I would...let it go," it's like it's the addict saying if he had the strength to give up this 'bad' habit he most certainly would. I know the song is definately about an old friend of Bono's who died of a heroin overdose. |

I always thought this song must be about a guy going into the army, or atleast that's the feel I get from it. Whenever I hear the song I always see a guy who's enlisted in the military and you see all his basic training and then they send him off to war and he dies. And at the end of the song they're having his funeral back home and then his coffin slams shut. I figured something like the army when he says "I feel I've come of age," like a young man fresh out of highschool of college and he wants to do his duty to his country. Beats me, but I don't exactly think it's about Scott doing heroine. And I want to say that STP is the coolest and thank God they're back together and have a new album coming out this year! |

I know I love this song to death. I have absolutely know idea what it means but I've been dying to know, and I had no idea that gavin was saying "try to see it once my way". I always thought he was saying "trust me once, my wife." And I still don't know what "there's no sex in your violence" means. To me it seems to imply some kind of rape idea, which is really not cool, and if that is it then FUCK YOU, GAVIN! YOU HEARTLESS, HELL-BOUND MOTHERFUCKER! CUZ RAPE'S NOT FUNNY YOU STUPID LONDON ASSHOLE!!! Anyway, the song does have one hell of an awesome grungy sound, and "Machinehead" is also another really good song. |

"Too Cool Queenie" absolutely sucks. It's one of STP's worst. But i definately think it's about Courtney and Kurt, been thinking it for awhile now, especially because of the line "she said he could do no right, so he took his life." But my brother and I are beginning to wonder if Kurt's death was really a suicide or a murder. I mean, most rock stars die of a drug overdose, but a shotgun blast to the head? It is something to be questioned. |
