I hate to relate this to my personal life, but I do think it is about someone you love falling into a depression over break-up. Maybe trying to fix things after things being rough, maybe a real admitting to love, coming back. I think that "kitty" coming back without a name is speaking that that person has lost one's self. Probably to a hurtful past with a partner and/or to depression. The partner (first person) "longs to touch her just the same" meaning to relate or what I think, connect the same as they used to. "Every single sense in me is hightened" is just feeling so much from this hurt. "Nothing left to rearrange" is there is no more defense in what they have done and self realisation to what they have done. And that they are a slave to their own intitlements of hurting the other end. Maybe they can't forgive themself. I think speaking in toungues is speaking to another and whatever they say is given forgiveness. The emotion build to this whole song makes me feel that it is all just about forgiveness, accepting what has happened and please, please we can make it right again. "Don't let them have their way." could be demons or just whatever is holding you back to shutting that person out who had hurt you. It's begging for forgiveness. "Don't fall back into the decay" is asking not to shun them back out and going into depression or sadness again about this whole mess. Thelling they are so beautiful the way they are and that is why they love them, are sorry, and should not go back into the dark. Don't give into the past (yesterday) and ready to move on from this hump, and building a new tomorrow (future) any time because the damage has already been done. There is no law, and they don't have to obey to what every one else thinks they should do (or in this case, NOT do, ie, getting back together. I think this is one of the most beautiful, most loving, heart given, most emotional songs I've ever heard. It really is sung like the last line of all they have to give. Two people who both really do love each other. I just hope to embrace me ex like this one day. How could one not fall in love and reunite & accept ones mistakes to this PLEA? It gets to me everytime. |

| This song kind of relates to me at the moment. I believe the part, "I'm moving on, I hope you're coming with me" is directing towards moving on from what's been done. Maybe moving on from another bad situation, or habit. Very nice song. | |
