Pink Floyd – Welcome to the Machine Lyrics 14 years ago
Preceding this comment i had the urge to learn more of Syd Barrett. As an avid listener and researcher of Pink Floyd in my late teens I knew a fair bit about the music and the band. But tonight something just clicked in, I think, for a number of possible reasons, that Syd became bored/frustrated with the band. There were accounts of Syd Barrett falling deeply into his solos in their early music, before the release of the piper at the gates of dawn, while the others did not have the same intensity. But what caught my attention the most was the account of him presenting a new song to the band called, have you got it yet, which he would change in performance, I think, non-coincidentally to prove his frustration for the band's maybe love of stardom, slow learning, or following a man who I think discovered a different type of music, that didn't involve playing music for people to understand, but for himself to discover. At the end of his performing career, there are accounts of him staring at the audience and refusing to play his music, people still enjoyed the shows, and maybe Syd Barrett felt that he was no longer a creator but falling into the instuction of his band members and managers. Why be a crazy diamond anymore when you are now just apart of a case of jewels that have taken the shine from your diamond and reflected it off themselves.

People may laugh at this comment, but wow it struck me and gave off that odd little tingly feeling in my stomach that frightens and provokes my thought. Ridiculous? Maybe, but what an idea.

Kid Cudi – Marijuana Lyrics 15 years ago
Sweet. This song really shows kid cudi's musical talent when most people think of him as just a sick flow artist with deep lyrics, is there anything this guy can't do. Also love the melting of we aite to marijuana to mojo so dope on the album, an amazing flow of music that guarantees an awesome experience when smoking marijuana or just chilling.

Kid Cudi – Mr. Rager Lyrics 15 years ago
First song I connected to on the album, and an emotional masterpiece. First analyzing it as drug references(probably cause i was high), I rethought the song and felt something other than marijuana. The whole bird part may be a metaphore for how you think, or how people might feel about famous(cudi), people you look up to, or even just 'cool' people. The birds are high, but you never see them come down because you only see them when they are on top/in the sky, making you want to be like them when they are hardly different(the fantasy).
I loved how he emphasized the fantasy as the make-believe ideas we ourselves create, with which the actual 'heaven' still has not come, and that the accepted idea of heaven is in itself a fantasy that we still try to believe is really true.
~ read this a couple times because I may have got lost in my thoughts, but to me it makes sense. ps hatedenemey's ideas on mr rager also seem relevent.

Kid Cudi – Mojo So Dope Lyrics 15 years ago
Definitely the 'dopest' flow on the new album. And loving the chorus, Give a F*CK about your lifestyle. Wow he sums up the song, the album, and my life in a few words.

Hollywood Undead – Young Lyrics 15 years ago
This is because the directed audience does not think for themselves. But I am not hating a catchy song, just the people bickering over it. Why does anyone care about this shit(What other people think about their own fav. song), sometimes I thnk that people use these websites as a place to be heard, not to be listened to. And yes I commented on the first comment to be heard, but how else could I have been able to tell you this over the noise of the song's other replies, do our turns to comment mean anything when the people replying are not thinking?

I do not wish to offend you, or overcomplicate your statement, but I think this song does have meaning. I'm not on the other hand going to study the song's lyrics for plenty of hours and tell you the meaning because I have lots homework to do. I just want to explain to you and other people that a song's meaning, and everything else in the world, is warped and miscommunicated since day one. Arguably the best song ever performed was Hotel California and its meaning is confused considerably to this day. The artists' were at a wave length that us and probably the artists will never really know or remember what its absolute meaning was. I hope you comprehend what I am trying to say.

Why don't you guys just agree to disagree. None of you guys no the true meaning of the song dead on because none of you wrote it. I think this song is awsome in which ever interpretation you choose... I also think that the musicality of the song matches the lyrical genius of it all. Greatest song of the 20th century?

The Cranberries – Zombie Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this is a good song. I also think that when the main singer at the end of the song starts to oversing it's quite awkwardely funny.... 'oh,oh,oh,oh,oh,oh,oh....' ha cracks me up but nevertheless embaresses me in front of people who are listening to it for the first time.
