| Paul Dempsey – Safety In Numbness Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I know a woman who seems extremely depressed most of the time. I have always felt so fortunate that I don't suffer from numbness OR depression. Feeling our emotions, naming them and dealing with them is the best way to feeling happy and peaceful. If you tuck them under a rug they become Mount Vesuvius and therefore problematic. Getting professional help for troubling emotions is the proper way to handle them. If you feel angry or wronged ( I guess you did jujubee) Intentionally lashing out at others and creating stupid mind games is NOT the proper way of handling your emotions. Seek therapy if you have any residual issues over people who created turbulence in your life. Take your anti-depressants if necessary. Again, I am genetically lucky that I am inherently happy. If all else fails, try and do nice things for others. Some times that helps! |

I know a man who could completely relate to this song and what you said. Speaking for him, I'd say "spot on" |

Whoo knows? Maybe he is a manic depressive. His partner sure as hell is disturbed. Maybe everyone in that house has serious mental health issues.. idk.. Just a GUESS. |

| Coldplay – Viva la Vida Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Only extremely the extremely vain and insecure think they are the "karma police". Please get a grip on yourselves. Always live and let live. And forgive immediately. Know that people that YOU LOVE are fallible. Verrry fallible. Maybe dishonest, too. Hey, I might be talking about YOU. |

| Camera Obscura – The False Contender Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I just like that they're from Glasgow, Scotland. Their sound is sooo damn groooovy to me! It's both the dog's bollocks and freakin' spot on. Camera Obscura makes me incredibly high :-) Weeeeeeeeeeee Oh Man! That bit about the love that won't leave her is a wee trite, I'd have to say. But I ain't agonna get my knickers in a bunch over it. Hell! Am I even WEARING knickers today? |

| Camera Obscura – Tears for Affairs Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I actually just loove this entire song! I've listened to it forever but then decided to comment on it tonight. I mean seriusly peeeeple! Don't have affairs. But definitely download this song and listen to it because it has a veeerrrry cool sound. To me, it is less about the words and more about the friggin' kick-smooth-ass-vibe. |

| Theory of a Deadman – Not Meant to Be Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Just remindin' myself of how relationships are two-sided and those r the facts JACK! You can try and pull a revisionist history siteation typa deal but it ain't gonna work. I remember how it all went down in the face to face moments or face to ass moments. And it took two to tango, girlfriend! This is a darn tootin' kick ass song about a relationship that didn't work out. I love it! |

| The Hold Steady – Your Little Hoodrat Friend Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Wasn't Craig Finn in a band named "Guitarded"? Anyway...... Not about Finn, but the narrator now: "Punctured, Probed, Penetrated" Hhhhhhhmmmmmm. Gay? Repulsed by the "Hoodrat Friend"? He wanted her BADLY but was in denial over it because he is gay. He prefers boys. But had "a thing" for this woman and he had a very difficult time dealing with it. He might have even loved her which was completely wild and problematic in his world. Not too hard to figure out this song. No pun intended. |

| Belle & Sebastian – Piazza, New York Catcher Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Are some married men driven to gayness because their wives don't "service" them enough? And/or because their wives are actually more manly than they are? And maybe if they had begun their married lives with an attractive female who likes sex, their lives would have been ENTIRELY different.... Hhhmmm... God I've always wondered about that. |

| Fleetwood Mac – Dreams Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Seriously... Do you write this shit for a living or do you simply have no life? I love music and looking at these comments, but jeeez. Who has the time to type all of that stuff? I wish I did. Don't mean to sound snide. I do thank you. |

| Bad Religion – I Love My Computer Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I agree with you angrypuppy. It is the coward's way of dealing with emotions and life. Totally retarded. I mean how well can you truly know someone from a bunch of computer bull shit shenanigans? A relationship that begun in real life should then be carried out in real life. Computers serve a purpose, yes.... But not for relationships. You are quite naive if you think you are going to get to know someone -truly- in this manner. |

You nailed it. Total fucking hermit. Sad, sad, sad. |

| Patrick Wolf – A Boy Like Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Gender stereotypes and/or not having a clue about your own sexuality. What a BEAUTIFUL thing it is to those of us who understand that we LOVE and ADORE being girls.... It is amazing. And we are worshiped FOR that! Don't be JEALOUS. Just live your life as a man or a woman and embrace it. Don't be yellow. That is stupid and cowardly. Maybe some of this? Or are you guitarded? |
