I personally love this song soooo much and this is what i think it could mean: So he's friends with a girl who has a boyfriend but then it goes further ("It was only a kiss") and it destroys his friendship with her so he's saying it was only a kiss like he is regretting it happened. The "Coming out of my cage" refers to the fact that he was trapped in his feelings like a bird in a cage and he came out of it by kissing her. He's lying awake torturing himself with the thoughts of what she is doing with her boyfriend when he's not there. Its like a true love song. It made me cry when i saw them live. x |
