You're all wrong. This song isn't about religion. It's about having a kid with a woman you don't love and the consequences of doing so. The parents in a loveless marriage fighting, upsetting the children. "You know this can't be perfect Even when it's feeling right." Doing the right thing doesn't always work like it should. Wake up and to someone to hate and fight with them constantly. The rest of this verse is obvious enough.
