Becoming the Archetype – Elemental Wrath: Requiem Aeternam Part II Lyrics 14 years ago
I believe you're a bit wrong here in your interpretation.
I believe the entire song is from the perspective of Death.
The Iron Hand is death as well, and the part you mention about lifting the curse of death I believe is not God lifting it from the believers, as the bible states that Men will pray for death and it won't be granted. The curse of death is lifted, so that they'll suffer even more. Because chronologically, this takes place in the album AFTER the Rapture, as the rapture happens within the first three songs.

Closure In Moscow – Kissing Cousins Lyrics 14 years ago
I'm pretty sure just before the end of the song, the last time he says "Sing it for all the ills that lead us in"
That in the background, in falsetto, he sings "For nativity"

Not sure, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Which leads me to believe this whole song is about humanity, how we cycle and sin and accomplish nothing in the ways of true happiness, we just "Creep all our days". We want whatever we can't have, thus we can "Feast and still feel famine all the same." and we just continue having children and breeding our sinful legacy, "It never ends, we can never rest"
Every thinks they're the greatest at everything and better than everyone else, and it's infuriating, thus "Oh it gets me so frustrated, everyone's an expert, I'm so sick of it. It makes me want to gouge a thousand eyes, choke five hundred throats"
He's scornful of society and wishes no part of it, thus he sits in his "Castle, disconnected on a sullen throne."

The Black Dahlia Murder – Blood In The Ink Lyrics 14 years ago
I believe this song's about how impressionable teenagers are to music and how they'll listen to anything their favorite band says in their lyrics. Mainly due to the "Die for metal" line, along with lines about getting tattoos in their name and such.

Between the Buried and Me – Lunar Wilderness Lyrics 14 years ago
Holy Jesus I get it.
Tommy said that this album would contain two characters, connected in a way, across universe/space/time.
Now in Lost Perfection A), we see the lines

"This party of four includes three grown adults and myself.
The first adult is shy and wise enough,
To keep the second one away from conversation.
They're on a mission.
Gender is not recognized.
The third adult is a male and talks too much."

And Here, we see
"(An out of focus picture brings up a familiar scenario. Three people fill the room. There seems to be a fourth, but very small. We are speaking about some sort of mission. My mouth won't stop moving... talking way too much. Even through the blur I can feel their stares. This one sided discussion seems to be about what I am preventing. Is this a sign? Too late... I've said it before. The people then disappear. I look about and the western sky seems to be red... alone. I can smell burning flesh... scorched life. I turn around and the face of death stares so grim that the lids finally open...)"

Now, the narrator of Lost Perfection, is the "Fourth, but very small" person talked about in Lunar Wilderness. The Narrator of Lunar Wilderness is the third person who 'talks too much' from Lost Perfection.
The narrator of Lunar Wilderness has attempted to build a vessel to bring him back to prevent the end of the world, and he is seen here discussing it with the three other men introduced so long ago in The Silent Circus. And we can see here that he has failed his mission, and the end of the world proceeds as it had.
I believe though that this was not a true time machine he built, but instead a sort of "Projection" machine. He didn't literally go back to the past, but projected himself there. He can interact with and change the past, but is truly stuck inside this machine in the present time, and we can see him exiting the projection here at the end of the song.

Coheed and Cambria – When Skeletons Live Lyrics 15 years ago
Wrong about the very last bit. Not about him becoming a monster in his wife's eyes, as his wife is already dead by this point, as you can tell from the opening lines.

Job For A Cowboy – Regurgitated Disinformation Lyrics 15 years ago
There is no antichrist. It's not in, nor ever was in the bible. Or at least not the way we think of it. The bible states that all nonchristians are the antichrist. Our modern idea of the Antichrist came from the beast who's mark is 666, which over hundreds of years of artistic interpretation in the middle ages, became a man. But in actuality, there is not, and there never will be, one, single, Antichrist.

Closure In Moscow – deluge Lyrics 15 years ago
I'm pretty sure he says "Aren't Gratified", not "Ungratified". Not that it matters much, it still retains the same meaning. I just think it sounds more like he says "Aren't Gratified"

Between the Buried and Me – Fossil Genera - A Feed from Cloud Mountain Lyrics 15 years ago
I love you, faceless. Because of reading your little definition thing, I now read the song title, instead of "Fossil Genera (A Feed From Cloud Mountain)," as "Ancient Race (A Broadcast From On High)"
Just sounds so much more fuckin' epic.

I stopped reading the second you said "You refer to 'christian mythology"
What the flying fuck does Cthulhu have to do with christianity?

Between the Buried and Me – Disease, Injury, Madness Lyrics 16 years ago
I've tried figuring them out. I believe it's kind of out of order. Like the 3rd line should be the first, 2nd is fine, then the 1st should be the 3rd when you're listening to it backwards.
It's, I think, "You will see the rest of the known universe. If you disagree, you will sleep. Sleep with the rest of the known universe."

Between the Buried and Me – Swim to the Moon Lyrics 16 years ago
I personally think this song is about a man who goes out on a boat in the middle of an ocean to get away from everything. However; he wakes up to find he is lost with no sense of direction and nothing to keep himself alive. He decides to just simply let himself die, but doesn't want to starve so he drowns himself. He does so peacefully however; and is happy with his decision and becomes one with nature and his surroundings as he dies.
Just my take on it.
Great song, by the way. I don't see the whole "messy"-ness of the song everyone says it has, I love it.
Though Fossil Genera or D/I/M would have to be my favorite songs on the album, this is certainly a damned amazing song.

Fear Before – Drowning The Old Hag Lyrics 16 years ago
Clearly none of you have ever had sleep paralysis.
I have it frequently, and that is EXACTLY what this song is about. It's even named after it!
Drowning the Old Hag is what Sleep Paralysis was called in the medieval ages.
And the line "I can't get her off my chest unless I'm sleeping on my side" is because sleep paralysis only happens when lying on your back, and it is thought by some people to be a witch sitting on your chest keeping you from moving.
The line "What you see and what you believe are two different things" is reference to the fact you hallucinate during sleep paralysis, inable to tell what is real and what is not.
"You won’t sleep you won’t move at all" Is in reference to that while you are not sleeping, you still cannot move.
All the lines about the head full of water is in reference to the fact that sleep paralysis makes your head feel heavy, and long ago it was thought to be water put in by some kind of demon or witch or something.
THE MORE YOU KNOW.
