This song means so much to me as I can personally relate to it. I too was raped and I find that this song feels so personal to me as it does to anyone who has experienced this horrible crime. She is VERY brave and obviously a very strong woman to be able to share something this personal with the world. |

Yeah the pain has been really bad. I don't really have anyone to talk to who have been through similar experiences which is why I'm looking forward to school to join a support group and meet people who've been there before. Hey rochey1, no your post didn't offend me. Sorry if it seemed that way. I just didn't word my sentence the right way. I was telling everyone who sees this that rape and sexual abuse does happen to males, it wasen't directed at you, sorry. Now luckily I am at a place where I am able to talk about what happened to me so I don't feel as lonely or isolated but I do, at times, feel these terrible feelings. And again, your personal opinions didn't offend me, so its ok, :)

Hey, am I the only guy who listens to this song? I doubt it but I guess I'm the only one who comments on it. Anyways I was raped and sexually abused as a child and I find this song to be really close to my heart. I find that I found myself asking the same questions and feeling the same feelings of shame and guilt over the abuse. And rochey1 I think you did a really good job in interpreting this song, very well done. I just hope, and I'm sure you do know, that sexual abuse and rape does happen to males and it is just as painful. But awesome song nonetheless. |

This song is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. I especially can relate to Jon as I too was raped and sexually abused as a kid. I am VERY impressed that he managed to last as long as he did in the song as I assume that he was probably having flashbacks to the abuse. But this is a great song in the fact that it manages to get my own anger out about my abuse. I can definatley relate to the end ofthe song when he just completely breaks down, but he is obviously a very strong person to be able to sing this song and share it with the world. |

This song has special meaning to me as I have experienced sexualy abuse at the hands of a priest. It was the most horrible thing I have ever went through, and it still, to this day, makes me physically sick to think about it. It was the ultimate betrayal of trust. :( |
