Lacuna Coil – Not Enough Lyrics 16 years ago
Andrea's perspective:

He's suicidal and he now has his lover in his life but it's not enough to save him. He says that he has no strength left to walk away from her anymore. He states that he's falling down and that even though she's come along, his feelings haven't changed and that he still isn't afraid to die.

Cristina's perspective:

She's heartbroken over her lover wanting to die and she can't live without him so she says that when she takes his path, she doesn't want to be saved and just wants to join him in death. She also says that they will both find a way to be back on Earth and hurt everyone who's hurt them both.

One evening, she has a dream that he's finally dead and then wakes up, thirsty for his love. She forgets all her fears and just wants him out of her mind - for good. She then starts forgetting his memory and wills it to come back to her. This part sort of reminds me of the 2004 film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Lacuna Coil – I Won't Tell You Lyrics 16 years ago
First verse:

She knows she's falling apart but chooses to deny it and stay in the position she's in, as she's deluding herself into thinking she's just fine. She admits that she keeps hiding instead of facing her problems and sorting them out. She states that she's been hurt so badly yet at the same time, she still takes risks with her behaviour and sets herself up for even more pain. ("I've been burnt so bad but I still play with fire")

Chorus:

Her lover sees that she's falling apart and he loves her so he's trying to save her from herself. He states that because she won't listen to his pleas, he feels that he can no longer try and that he's wasting his time. ("I cannot tell you you're falling apart")

He then tells her that she's blind and will never survive if she doesn't open her eyes. ("Open your eyes if you wanna survive") Afterwards, he states that he knows that her love is a lie and he knows something that she attempted to hide from him. ("I want to tell you your love is a lie..." "I can't admit that I know what I know...")

Second verse:

She states that it's hard to hear his pleas and his words only become clear when she's in fully blown pain. She says that she doesn't tell him that she is, in fact, living a lie and that she's only alive in her confusion. ("In this confusion, I feel alive...")

Third verse:

After her lover repeats the same words to her, she finally explodes and tells him to keep out of her business and that he knows nothing but subcounciously, she knows he's right about her but is obviously in denial. ("Don't ever tell me I'm falling apart. Don't ever tell me I will not survive...") She then feels outrage at the fact he knows her love is a lie and admits it to him. ("Don't ever tell me this love is a lie 'cause I am the lie. I am the liar..."
