Great track. I tend to agree with riter that this is metaphorical for self-destructive behaviour resulting in the actual destruction of a relationship, not necessarily a physical killing. In my humble translation......Human beauty and the beauty of nature are not comparable. The eagle is no more regal than the salmon it clutches in its talons. The human is not superior for its wisdom and ability to manipulate its environment. Everything is equal.......everything is in balance....everything is ultimately sensual, at its base level. "They told me to be careful up there, where the wind rages through your hair" = Be aware of human arrogance, where we possess the capability to intellectualize our superiority and domination over the rest of the planet. Close your eyes, shut off this song, turn off your cell phone, drop your tweety-space-face-book-texty mentality, and feel the "real" natural contact between humans, and the beautiful energy we share. |

Great lyrics about anyone who is closed to inter-personal relationships, for whatever reason.....self-destructive behaviour, past abuse, people who "move too fast". It takes too much for these personalities to give completely of themselves. They know they need interaction with others to make themselves whole, so much that they give others permission to complete them, but tend to chase them away....fear of failure/success.
