She's the Lavender Blonde. She sometimes wears a light purple wig. It was her Twitter avatar for the longest time. The song is about her fears of vanity and addiction. |

I think whatever's in her glass is trying to entice her into being best friends. The other woman here could be Brandy, Chardonnay, Baily, or Sherry. |

A friend of mine played this song for me thinking that it would make me feel better about a breakup that happened a year ago and I'm still not over.
The thing about this song is that it's so specific in its examples. If you aren't thinking about someone, then you simply aren't thinking of them.
I'm sure that this song is nothing but lies. Hopeful lies that the singer desperately wants to believe in. |

Very similar to the other song about her by The Postal Service, "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight"
He sings, "And I am finally seeing why I was the one worth leaving." |

I feel like Transatlanticism is a concept album, that all the songs are meant to be listened to together in order. This song is like a final note on the themes on the album and it makes sense for it to begin with 'and'.
That's my take, anyway. |
