| Ratatat – Seventeen Years Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The spoken part in the begining of the song is belong to "Young Churf", the band mention it in an interview: Mike: It is a guy named Young Churf. It is a guy from our neighborhood. He is a rapper. Evan: It was mostly from voice mails. That is why it sounds fucked up. He likes to make speeches. You can find the whole interview here: http://www.freewilliamsburg.com/september_2004/ratatat.html |

| Plain White T's – Hey There Delilah Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
It's such an amazing song, I never grow tired of listening it all this time. Actually the lyrics are just clear what's the song is all about, it's plain to see all the strong love elements in it, I personally think it's really heartbreaking, kinda sad but it somehow fills you in with hope and a smooth and soothing, distant feeling of joy, almost can be described as magical, few song evokes such delicate and elusive emotions. It's written by Tom Higgenson for Delilah DiCrescenzo, nationally ranked American steeplechase and cross country runner. You can find the whole story behind the song on a quick seach on the internet. |

| Owl City – Fireflies Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song reminds me the time between autumn and winter, about 4 or 5 years ago, when I was listening The Postal Service all the time, some parts in the song reminds of them. I liked the song since the moment I start playing it, it instantly made me smile. It makes me feel like everything is alright, and all the pressures and fears are far away, like I got nothing to worry about, the way whenI felt when I was a kid. Absolutely amazing song. | |

That's kinda how the songs makes me feel too. Like everything I should be thinking, like all the pressure and responsibilities are locked away from my mind, as if there's nothing but the moment and joy. |

Nice.. Well, I don't know if it's true but it makes sense when you put it that way. |

| Billy Idol – Dancing With Myself Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
The truth is it's all about dancing, alone, in front of mirrors. That's it. Here's something from wikipedia: "Some have speculated that the song is about masturbation, but more likely it was inspired by what Tony James and Billy Idol witnessed in a Japanese night club during the band's 1979 Japanese Tour as patrons watched themselves dance in the space enhancing mirrors which covered the walls." It's actually funny that how many people thinks this song is about masturbation. Oh well, if you really consider dancing alone by yourself is a variation of masturbation, then yes it is. |

| Moving Mountains – Sol Solis Lyrics | 16 years ago |

The lyrics in this song are pretty similar to their another song titled "8105" (it's the date the song recorded 8.10.05) Ok, I simply adore this band and all of their songs. Moving Mountains use a srong "nature theme" in their songs, a harmony between nature and mankind. Pneuma means "breath" in greek, the word also used in religious context for "spirit", in stoic philosphy means "animating warm breath, in both the cosmos and the body", in ancient medicine it's used to describe "the circulating air that is necessary for the systemic functioning of vital organs". Also Anaximenes of Miletus (Pre-Socratic philosopher) describes it as "air in motion, breath, wind" as his words "As our souls, being air, hold us together, so breath and air embrace the entire universe." There's a great affection in their songs, mostly for the nature. It's not just about two people loving each other, but more like a metaphor to describe the love against the earth and the harmony of all life on it. They use love as it's purest form, as energy and life, the life giving force that connects all the living together as well two person loving eachother. You can also find a strong taste of "evolution" in their songs. My opinion is their main theme is about love & nature. They kinda say without the earth, the sky and the oceans there's no love. Please listen their song "Cover the Roots, Lower the Stems" before thinking about this, I think then you'll know what my point is. |
