Regardless of what Slug may have said in an interview, I would like to apply this to a girl, because I can totally relate if that was the meaning. And the girl that it's the case with for me, her name begins with an "s."
God d*mnit Slug! lol |

"Yo, I'm like Malcom out the window with the weapon out"
Is that reference to the infamous picture of him with the rifle looking through the bedroom window? |

"Eleven million children are on ritalin" should read: "Eleven million children; all on ritalin"
I love all the Public Enemy "Don't Believe the Hype" references. I really didn't catch most of them until the third or fourth time listening. |

If anyone's interested, this song is mostly targeted towards fake rappers and industry agents and producers and managers and whatnot.
"And I race scared niggas," should read: "And erase scared niggas,"
"Neither is a bar even with a hair trigger" should read: "Neither is a bald eagle with a hair trigger"
"I'm a modern day king" might be: "I'm a modern day Kane" As in Big Daddy Kane as Black Thought has listed him as inspiration many times. I could be wrong on this one though. His voice makes it hard to interpret lyrics sometimes. |

Possibly Black Thought at his best. This song is fuckin' amazing. This, 75 Bars, Thought @ Work, & Quills might be his best work ever. |

I really didn't like this song to start off, but it progressively became one of my favorite songs off Game Theory. |

Why does this song not have more comments? This is THE song that established The Roots as a conscious, alternative hip hop group, with the amazing Black Thought rapping over some great live music. |

It's his way of saying, "it's not over 'til the fat lady sings." Meaning, Autotune = The End; when the fat lady will sing. |
