Lady GaGa – Dance in the Dark Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is my favorite off of The Fame Monster! I love the Stanley Kubrick reference so much.

Anyway, I once read in an interview somewhere that Gaga said this song is actually about hating to have sex with the lights on, because the girl in the song doesn't want her boyfriend to see her naked. I really love this song due to all the feminism references, and the story she tells is so comforting to me! (Coming from a girl who was in an abusive relationship before)

I really think the many ways you can portray this song adds to the brilliance of it. Lady Gaga's recent music is so ground breaking because it can relate to so many situations, such as peoples fear of being imperfect, feminism's role in society, abusive relationships, and the role of hollywood and the media! and that is really why I adore this song! :)

Calvin Harris – Neon Rocks Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it's about getting high (In my opinion acid, considering he says "dropping") and having sex.

Calvin Harris – I'm Not Alone Lyrics 16 years ago
"Can you stay up for the weekend
and blame god for looking too old"
- Represents his constant partying, doubt in the life he is living.
"Can find all that you stand for
has been replaced with mountains of gold"
- All of his morals and ideals have become askew, and money from record companies/news papers/general media have taken his morals place
"you cannot dream yourself to notice
to feel pain and swallow fear"
- He can't bare the thought that maybe one day he'll have to face up to the fact that maybe this isn't the life he wants
"but can you stay up for the weekend
for next year"
- So many people are relying on him

"God I can't do this any more
though ill be laid down on the floor
as many feet walk through the door"
- As people walk in and out of his life, he feels more and more alone. "Though I'll be laid down on the floor" might also represent that he feels like he has no control - is being walked all over.

"I'm not alone"
- Obvious denial OR realization that there are people out there that care about him OR a starting point for the next few lines

"If i see a light flashing
could this mean that I'm coming home"
- I imagine this part represents a him in front of a crowd, with lights from the stadium/crowd
"If i see a man waving
does this mean that I'm not alone"
- For a few fleeting, in and out, seconds, he feels in company with the people in front of him, listening to his words and dancing to his music.
