MORE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS BAND! Incredibleeeeeee! This song is about someone who is upset because they are forced to make a life change. It's about doing something that you don't want to happen, but it inevitably will occur. For example, in the opening verse, when it says: "It's funny how the smile in your eyes/Is slowly fading with the last days in July/The year is drowning like the calendar grows thin/You'll sail away again with your back against the wind." The summer (the last days in July), or the easy and enjoyable time in this person's life is ending. They are forced to leave this point, so they are fighting the wind, the inevitable, which is pushing them. It could also be about someone who is dying, and they know their time is running out. (Although it seems a little upbeat for that.) The lyrics says "I still don't feel the spot besides me in the bed you sleep/As the calendar repeats". As the years go on, the person is still gone even though they didn't want to go, they weren't ready. As for the line that is blank, I believe it is "Please send me beaches when my world is cold and weak" |

I feel like "breathe me" is a reference to her inability to care for herself. She is so lost in her loneliness and self-harm that she cannot even breathe for herself, she can't even preform that primary function which keeps her alive. She is so low that she needs someone else to breathe for her. |

This doesn't have to be about a relationship. I think that it is about loosing your identity to something, it COULD be a person, or it could be another passion in life. Think of an Olympic athlete who looses their ability to preform, perhaps due to an injury. They do not know who they are without their sport. They've given themselves whole-heartedly to their training, and are lost when it is taken away from them. |

I think its more about a woman who keeps trying to find love elsewhere, and he is saying that she can find it right where she is, with him. She doesn't need to pack her suitcase, because she's already where she needs to be. |

In terms of the word "eet" itself, I think that she is referring to the fact that you can't remember what used to come so easily to you anymore-- you only have fragments. Because Regina uses the concept of "forgetting the words to your favourite song" she uses "eet" as this fragmentary memory. So "eet" is simply a fragment of "beat" and "feet" in relation to a "favourite song". |
