Lambchop – Flick Lyrics 6 years ago
Like a chamber from a gun
After the shooting's done
This is what you have become
Now make something out of it

This formulation alone makes it worthwhile to listen to this beautiful and vulnerable song.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Wide Lovely Eyes Lyrics 7 years ago
I was thinking the same, a girl commiting suicide. Especially after the line:

And arrange your shoes side by side.

A small detail, but it is something someone would do before walking into the ocean to commit suicide.

Talk Talk – I Believe In You Lyrics 14 years ago
When Mark sings the line:

'A time for passing' (especially 'passing'), followed by the organ, it breaks my heart. There's so much sadness, I already wanna cry for all the grief I have to face in the future.

The Black Angels – Doves Lyrics 14 years ago
This powerful song is number one in my playlist, as in terms of most played. But I seem the only one who likes this song very much, it kicks out the walls!

Killing Joke – Requiem Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm from 1968, 'grew up' in eighties, but somehow missed Killing Joke. Now I'm catching up and say Requime is strong song. Powerful, indeed apocalyptic (thx DrLorenzo), an introduction to metal music, especially Requime - what's something like salute to soul of deceased person (or persons).

(By the way, if you got nothing else to do, google Jaz Coleman, frontman of Killin Joke. Interesting guy!)
