Tokyo Police Club – Be Good Lyrics 14 years ago
To me, it sounds like a guy breaking up with a girl whose a little bit younger. He sees that she cares about him more, in a romantic sense, so he tries to break it off by using the excuse he's too old for her. He thinks shes a fun person and likes her as a person, so he decides to let her down in a way that won't hurt her too badly.

Proof:
- He says "It's been a blast", which sounds like he did not take the relationship seriously.

- He's not going to "fight" or "kill" for their relationship.

- He's getting the "story down" so he makes sure he's saying all the right things, so that she won't suspect that he never saw the relationship as anything more than fun and shallow.

-He's "waltzing", like he's dancing because he got away with his lie.

I feel like she's in college because her parents visit her. I also feel like the song is sad, but it might be because the girl's heartbreak.

Tokyo Police Club – Wait Up (Boots Of Danger) Lyrics 15 years ago
I think it is the point of view of a guy who is realizing that his relationship is a sham. Because his girlfriend, gives him no attention and doesn't give him any attention, except "only on the weekends" so she is "making up for lost time". She isn't invested into it, anymore. And the narrator has done everything, and said anything, so he's given up. He's saying Wait Up, but I think he realizes their relationship is ending.

Dogs Die in Hot Cars – I Love You 'Cause I Have To Lyrics 15 years ago
I think it's about a guy who was in love, but fell in love with the person he was with. Now he's staying in the relationship for the sake of staying in a relationship. Now he's suffering because he's in this loveless relationship, and he just wants it to go away and cannot end it.

Loved this song for awhile :D

Marina and the Diamonds – Obsessions Lyrics 16 years ago
I think the first part is about a woman trapped in an abusive relationship, where the two partners are obsessed with each other, but it is completely unhealthy.

Then the second part, might be about an anorexic or bulimic person who worries constantly about food and being caught eating. The dieting is an obsession.

Black Kids – I'm Making Eyes at You Lyrics 16 years ago
It is about wanting someone, but not wanting to know them. It is all based on attraction and sexual need. It is nothing to do with wanting a relationship, rather than someone to play with.

The Cribs – Girls Like Mystery Lyrics 16 years ago
It's about a guy whose annoyed with the fact women seem to only for men who are uninterested. However, he does not care and he is going to be himself. He's tell his friend whose jealous, because the friend tries so hard to get noticed, while the narrator attracts women effortlessly.

Cobra Starship – Angie Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it's about this guy who wants this girl Angie, who constantly fools around with other guys. She tell him to wait, and that they'll be together but for the time being, she just wants to have a good time. This gives the narrator false hope, because in the end, she does not want to be in a relationship with him.

The Format – Dead End Lyrics 16 years ago
I totally agree with this.

My best friend and I have this relationship, where we love each other, but I was the one who had more than friend feelings. He was always with other girls and I date other guys, but we just have always stayed best friends.

Cute Is What We Aim For – The Curse of Curves Lyrics 16 years ago
I think that the narrator is very witty and charismatic. He meets a very beautiful woman, and knows from the start she isn't the deepest person he's ever met. The narrator finds the woman sexy, and starts some sort of relationship with her. He starts o fall for her, but "his wit won't allow it" meaning he will have fun with the woman, but will not let himself feel anything more. He just wants her to be something nice to look at, and does not want to take her seriously. He thinks he is too clever to fall for someone shallow and gossipy. The narrator is a total hypocrite.
