| Against Me! – I Was a Teenage Anarchist Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I agree. I'm listening to this CD and at best I would call it a satire on radio rock? I mean what the fuck? I miss the heartfelt screams and at least searching for a former clarity still had some heart. New wave was the breaking point. | |

You don't need God to be content. God is a crutch. You can claim atheism is a crutch, but the LACK of something is not a crutch. It just means we DON'T think about the idea at all. We don't 'believe in atheism' because atheism is the denial of the existence of gods in general. We just don't think about it at all. Its like asking some normal person if they're an 'anti-dog strangler'. You never categorized it into that kind of dichotomy before and so you just don't normally think about it. I'm honestly sorry for you that you have taken the easy way out and feel as if you have discovered the answers. But, life is a journey and it is mighty ignorant of you to feel that you have it all worked out. Be a man like some of us who choose to face the journey and try and learn instead of being so smug as to thinking we have it all figured out. Your god does not have the answer to everything and it would be ignorant to imply it. Your book even has a shitty description of him full of holes open to wide interpretation in that you and someone else who call themselves christians have no similar ideas whatsoever. Its a charade and a waste of time. I advise you to please, PLEASE, get educated. |

I agree. I did get the abortion vibe. And Arter. Honestly, your opinions vary much too greatly from the comments I've seen on this. I think you don't really know what you're talking about because although this is a pretty great song, it is not one of the best the band has ever done are you joking? Just because its new doesn't mean you can forget Deja and Favorite Weapon. |

Yoni is definitely Jewish by tradition anyway. Any references to Christianity would be satirical at best. Not to be taken so seriously as seen in Good Friday. I'd say that Yoni is an existentialist in most views. This is just one of the best closers in the history of closers. |

I love how he says 'or will I spit empty threats' double meaning as in shooting blanks. It attributes to how Yoni's lyrics are the most real self analysis you can get. Also, I'm 95% certain its 'swing aside' though I like scythe better, if you listen you can here the hard 'd' sound maybe 't' but obviously he would mean aside over a sight lol. |

| Why? – Berkeley by Hearseback Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| White pages is for people. Yellow pages is for businesses. But I agree that he is comparing the book of numbers to a phone book in that the Jews at Mt. Sinai were remembered by this book, he will similarly be remembered because of a 'book of numbers' in a way connecting him to his tradition. | |
| Why? – Even the Good Wood Gone Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Such a folky song and so catchy! I love it. Especially the part where he talks about how he wants to be buried. I just love the way he puts ideas together. | |

Yoni's master knowledge of syllable flow is so evident in this song. I wanna speak at an intimate decibel with the precision of an infinite decimal. The only singer that can put such a poetic flow on syllables rather than words and still get a stronger message than most. Very few artists put this much of themselves in their songs. |

This is one of the best songs on the CD as well as in general. Its so simplistic but so powerful. He has such a way with syllables. But yeah, its "or the first feet of snow that old, that old clouds yield" |
