This song is about a story about a guy and a girl, who where probably good friends for a long time, that fell in love: "without you there's no reason for my story and when i'm with you i can always act the same forever, yeah if we're together we can make it better" As you can see the guy isn't afraid to express himself when in the presents of the girl, evidence of my good friends theory above^, and not just a random love at first sight girl. Also: "you and i, we've never felt so right that just might be just what i need to get me through the night) you and i, we're the perfect fit" According to the lyrics they work minimum wage jobs and work long hours to pay off bills or are forced to under chain of command in order to keep their jobs (people that work in min. wage jobs usually take advantage of new employees because they are usually young and new to working and like bossing them around while they slack off.), so they must still be in school, considerably college, and dream of just running away and living happily together: "you and i will never get to sleep, we're up all day we're overworked and underpaid you and i, we're always talking repeat day by day watching time drift away as we run away " So basically its about young love and a dream/plan of running away from responsibility and being happy together! :D |
