I think there is more to this song, then a simple break up and lingering feelings... I think ir goes deeper. "I know your fears and you know mine. We've had our doubts but now we're fine" Creates the question, is this really about a break up? If he say "we're fine" he isnt talking about them as individuals, but as a couple. Also... "And I will bear my soul in time, When I'm kneeling at your feet" For the most part, when a man kneels at a womans feet, he is going to propose. Why would he propose to someone he is not in a relationship with? Im not sure what this song actually means, but I have a feeling it goes deeper then what one might think having heard or looked at it superficially. |

See Im sure this songs meaning is not as simple and as direct as we might think. "I know your fears and you know mine. We've had our doubts but now we're fine, And I love you, I swear that's true. I cannot live without you." Unlike the rest of the song, this part does not seem to indicate the end of a relationship, it actually makes it seem as though things are getting better... Also... "And I will bear my soul in time, When I'm kneeling at your feet" Normally when a man kneels at a womans feet, it is to propose... This is what makes think this song has a far more complex and deeper meaning, then what it seem superficially. |
