"You" is softer and more gentle in comparison to "Demons". I can hear similarities in some of the melodies in the background, but I don't think it's a "complete rip-off". They're entirely separate songs. |

God, people, the song is clearly about being confident and shaking your 'thang'/'booty' and knowing you look good, as well as feeling good too. Why does everyone demand lyrics that are 'meaningful' or that 'resonate deep within them'? Um? Not all songs have to have insanely poetic lyrics that, when deciphered correctly, are about some really deep shit. |

ahahahaha, well, whilst i agree that this song is ridiculously shallow (seriously..he says.. boobies..like wut?) but i love it anyway. it's catchy, and when i listen to it and dance to it it makes me feel happy and i like when he says "oh my gosh i'm so in love i found you finally" because at least THAT bit doesn't sound quite as shallow as some of the verses. to me, when i sing it, i'm more describing the boy that i've found "finally" and how just -oh my gosh- he's incredible in every way (not just physically like how usher is describing the girl..) i mean, obviously, usher reckons this girl "has it all" (i can't believe he says "boobies") and he talks about the things she "has". but that's just him. regardless of how shallow some of the lyrics are, i like this song because it reminds me more about finding an incredible human being - incredible in any, or every way. and finding out "so many ways" to love that person. because "oh my gosh" you're "so in love". so it's cool, and i just analyzed a song like this!? wtf!? um, anyway, have a good day ~ |
