Indeed great song. I think this is about someone who just recently went through a painful break up. She is now in the reflection process and dealing with wounded pride and becoming aware that the relationship was lost when she stopped believing the lies that the relationship was OK. She realizes that she is the one who got hurt and the other person is not going through the same painful experience that she is. Finally she accepts that it is over and they are going different directions. You have you own heart and I can't get rid of mine. Her heart is broken and hurts so right now she'd like to be rid of it. |
