No one will probably get this because the last 3 comments were in 2006... Your theories of "Its a boy playing me as his game" theories are.... cute. But lets try my theory out: Freezepop's center piece of instruments in their band is the Yamaha QY-70. A portable, handheld, music synthesizer that can generate/simulate a large wide viety of tones, sounds, and instruments. Alot of songs, including their recent (Like I am not Your Gameboy) ones rely heavily on this device. The track Pop Music is not a Crime was entirely produced from this machine. And to people who aren't gamers, "Gameboy" is a term to generally classify Handheld video games. Much how elder people who didn't understand, or weren't into videogames called videogames a Nintendo. Even Arcade and Atari classics were considered Nintendos by those who didn't know the difference. Have a Sega Genisis or an Xbox? Its still a Nintendo to my grandparents just as much its still a Nintendo to many of the older populations, including but not limited to: grandparents, ignorant mothers, and polititians who are anti-videogames even though they never touched on in their life. ANYWAYS... The Yamaha QY-70 looks vaguely like a handheld gaming system much like the Original Gameboy. Just like in this song's lyrics, the QY-70 can run on 6 AA Alkaline, generating a charge of 700 miliamps "To rock the show". Contrary to the look and shape of the device, the Yamaha QY-70 is "Not your toy" The QY-70 has "No Nintendo Logo" And there is no slot for you to insert Gameboy cartridges. It also does NOT "have a joystick or a backlit LCD" Here is a list of the games that the Yamaha QY-70 cannot play: "Ms. Pacman, Asteroids or Donkey Kong, don't look here for Tetris or even Super Mario." Spy Hunter, Galaga or Burger Time, don't look here for Frogger, Dig-Dug ain't no friend of mine." |
