Okay I probably can't add much that hasn't already been said, but the character from the first Unforgiven has found another that he thinks he can relate to and thinks maybe she can relate to him as well. I think he's still very afraid to let someone in which is what I think "Behind the door, should I open it for you" is referencing to. Eventually he learns she's not gonna be there for him and he wonders what he's done to make her not love him and he's left alone again. Finally he realizes that she's just like him and is afraid to love which he states, "now I see the sun" which is him realizing she's just like him and he says, "because you're unforgiven too". |

I think this song is absolutely amazing! As for my interpretation of the meaning, I think it relates to James and him getting sober in many ways. Also in relation to the other 2 Unforgiven songs, the character has come to the realization that they are to blame for their own unhappiness and not society or their parents or whomever else they may have blamed along the way. They continued to search "for seas of gold' which I think is a metaphor for looking for one thing that he thinks will make him happy, but ultimately he realizes that there's no such thing. In the end I think he realizes that in order to be happy he must stop blaming everyone else and forgive himself. |

| Hinder – Far From Home Lyrics

To me this song is obviously written by one of the guys in the band about being on the road and having a girlfriend back home. He really cares about her but he knows she would be better off if they just ended it because it's not gonna work with him so far away. Being so far away and the line "I can't fix this from a phone" is saying there's nothing he can do over the phone to make the relationship work and his endless sorry s won't help either. |

I think in general this song is about growing old and how you lose your "innocence". As you get older it gets much harder to continue being a good person and do what's right and I think the song is saying as a child you never warned about such things. I think a lot of people try to use faith to help but even then it's still a difficult thing. I think everyone wants to do what's right but demons get the best of us all at times. |
