Nevertheless – Paper And Words Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is speaks of us drawing out plans for our lives with "pencils and paper." We think it will go exactly as we plan but the thing is, God has other plans for lives. We tend to make plan our lives and leave Him out of those plans. Although our dreams and plans shatter, perfection remains in what ends up happening in our lives because it is God's will. It's "perfection laced with compromise." Instead of trying to draw out plans for our lives in advance, we need to simply walk by faith and trust God's perfect will for our lives.

This all has been very true in my own life.

Newsboys – Lost the Plot Lyrics 16 years ago
"We've forgotten our first love. We have lost the plot."

Revelation 2:4 yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repend and do the things you did at first.
-----
Revelation 2:1-7
1"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: 2I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. 4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. 5Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Kj-52 – Dear Slim Lyrics 16 years ago
I sincerely regret not being able to reply to this post sooner, but I can at least reply now anyway.

The line "Is that a life without Christ is just a life that is never fixed" is being gravely misunderstood here. Life is not about being "good." I have news for you: even one sin makes us deserving of eternal separation from God (Hell). Since we are all sinners, we live broken lives. BUT, through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross as our perfect, sinless sacrifice, we can be made perfect in God's sight. Our lives can be fixed as KJ says in his song.

I'm not sure what you classify as "lead[ing] a good life," but I can tell you that it won't be enough. And simply "believing in God" is not at all what KJ is trusting in for his salvation, not is it what anyone in heaven trusted in. Satan believed in God and trembled. One day we will all bow down and worship God. The thing is, for about 90% it will be too late.
