Patrick said at Electronic Beats festival that two birds are like a metaphor for two lovers - I am paraphrasing that now, but the point is that it is a love song. He said also that whenever he sings it he feels like he's in love. This one just might be my favourite of his. |

It is dedicated to Mic Christopher, Irish indie musician and I believe a friend of Lisa's (as she sang at his record and there are few shot of them together) which passed away in 2001. after falling down the stairs. Now, I don't know are the lyrics about him - except mentioning of the stairs it does not make much sense, to be honest - but it is certainly a lovely thing to dedicate it to a memory of such great musician. It is also an amazing song. |

I just had a feeling it was dedicated to same person as "Video Games" - it kind of has that adventurous yet sad vibe around it. And she did say in one of the interviews she usually sings about the same person and that she'll probably love him forever. So I just might be right. :) |

This one is about caring about someone - and not only in romantic way, but in any way. It's about giving them advices about what silly things they shouldn't do because you love them and you don't want to miss them. At the same time it's funny and sad song.
One of my favourites on the new album, definitely. So pure and so special, and lyrics are so amazing. |

This song is about her break up with Damien Rice. Lisa said in a interview " It’s a snapshot in time as well.[...] But that one when I wrote it, it was really hard for me to write and really hard for me to sing for a long time, but I think it was important for me to write it. I think I needed to.”
She also describes it as not a "mean song or a brutal song or a happy song. It feels quite… quiet" |

I think that could mean two things - first is like "did your mother have some troubles with pregnacy so you're so comlicated?" and second could be "did your mother give up on you easily and without love?". It's how I see it at last :) |
