David Archuleta – Don't Let Go Lyrics 16 years ago
SUCH A GOOD SONG. I love DLG. David is freaking awesome.

My interpretation is basically that David's girl is hurt by something that he's done or said. He's trying to convince her that it was nothing, and that he still loves her. "Do anything to change your mind, try to make you see the light." He doesn't want her to give up yet. They can still work things out.

btw, the lyrics in the chorus are "Hold on, hold on, 'cause what I'm doing, is so strong, so strong..."

Jason Mraz – Butterfly Lyrics 16 years ago
The first time I listened to this song was when I'd convinced my mom to buy the album for me. We were on our way home, so I had her put it in the CD player. The only song I knew from Jason at that time was I'm Yours. I did not expect this. LOL.
When this song came on, this was my expression: O_O
I was kind of scared, to be honest. LOL. I mean, my parents were sitting in the front seat, probably thinking "Why is our daughter listening to this?" It was a very awkward few minutes...
Since then, I've always skipped over that song when I listen to Jason's music with my parents around. It's just too awkward. But I do listen on my iPod occasionally. I love the music, I love the brass, I love it all. The lyrics just make it kind of hard to digest sometimes. LOL.

The rest of his album is AMAZING. Butterfly is just a BIT too...suggestive for me. =D

Adam Lambert – Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash cover) Lyrics 16 years ago
I have one thing to say about this song...
S-E-X-Y.

LOL. This song perfectly describes how I became an Adam fan. I didn't really think too much of him before this performance on AI. First I thought, "Wow, he really has guts to take a risk like that..." but then I noticed how freaking hot he was. =D I agreed with Kara when she said that she was confused "but strangely happy." It was so confusing. There was just SOMETHING about him... And when I fell into that burning Ring of Fire, I never wanted to leave.
Love it, love it, love it. Adam is amazing.

David Archuleta – My Hands Lyrics 16 years ago
I remember listening to this song and always end up thinking "Whaaat??" at the end, because I never could grasp the meaning. But then one day, it just hit me. And ever since, My Hands has been one of my favorite songs on the album. I LOVE it.
So here's what I think it's about. Might be wrong, but it works for me. lol.

The first few lines were always really cryptic and confusing. They were so random until one time I read them and had an epiphany. "Accidentally on purpose I dropped my watch behind the tire. Threw my alarm clock inside the fireplace..."
It's about stopping time! That's the theme of the song.
Basically, the way I see it, David is far away from his girl, or they're about to be seperated, and all he wants to do is stop time and be with her.
"But it's harder to hold on to your hands than the hands of time."
And once she leaves, or they're apart, he doesn't want to think of how much time has passed. "And I put the phone on the front lawn; everything that shows time is gone." But he still misses her. "I'm outside in this cold still looking for you..."
I love this part especially. "If everything would stop I'd listen for your heart to lead me right to you, yeah. I've tried every way I can..." Again, he wants to stop time. Because if everything else is stopped and silent, he might be able to hear her heart and find her.
It's a very romantic and kind of heartbreaking song once you finally figure out what it means to you. ♥

I love it.
David Archuleta is incredible. He tells stories with his songs and his voice... ♥

David Archuleta – Save the Day Lyrics 16 years ago
There are few errors in the lyrics...
In the chorus, it's "So keep breathing, I said that I'd always be there," and the second verse is
"The hands on the clock are standing still,
but your heart is racing,
You're losing your grip on the window sill,
pulled down by the weight of it,
And you pray for relief,
as you lie on the bathroom floor,
As you wait, you can see,
there's a light underneath the door,
This is the day you've been waiting for."
And the bridge, it's "feel the warmth of the sun," and "So just look in my eyes, baby, try to hold on, and you'll find it won't be long..."

For me, this song is about someone who is just losing all hope. Maybe they're really stressed out, depressed, worried, or just too tired to go on. David sees that and is trying to help them through it and Save the Day; convince them that everything will be okay in the end. "There's a future worth fighting for."
I really love this song. It gives me hope. =D
I remember the first time I heard it, I pictured David in a Super Man cape, flying all over the world saving people. =D LOL. So cute.

David Archuleta – Don't Tell Me Lyrics 16 years ago
This is a song from David's younger years, pre-Idol. He helped write it. It's a very laid-back but confident song. I like it. =D
