As we know...Danzig was and still is in love with old B Horror films...he wrote this in the 70s when there was no shitty reality Tv...its just his homage to his own obsession with television and movies from his childhood...the horror genre...and comic book characters he wish would come to life for the screen not just the pages of his books...its an obsession with Tv pure and simple |

I would say this song in particular is an ode to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" If anyone knows Danzig's history, one of his favorite author's bar none was and still is Edgar Allen Poe. With "Come Back" It's safe to say that Danzig wanted the story to continue. He then put his own little twist on te continuation of the poem. This song has always been one of my favorites. Especially, the Static Age version. Poetry, Romance, Horror, Death...A timeless masterpiece... |
