Its like something or someone more powerful than you, who is pushing you down and not letting you get up. You have been fighting this monster all of your life and now you are so close to giving up. In other words, you have been betrayed by others in the name of love all the time. Each time you thought it was true love but proven wrong later. That should have stopped you from ever loving again but you never could. You are tired of loving and being betrayed over and over. But you have still not stopped believing in love. | I have never understood the reason to "get over" and "move on". Every person is unique, so is their love. Why the need to get over and move on? So that you can focus on that new person? Well, even if you don't try, it happens all the time. When we see someone first time (not alwaysing in a dating mode), we are seeing another way someone could be and in that particular moment, that might be perfect, never yesterday or tomorrow. Sun rises and sets, to rise again next morning. | When you love someone (or cherish him/her), love him/her unconditionally, looking at them like a child, not as a "grown-up", "all-knowing" and/or as a "hero". Cause none of us can be like that, not even the Prophets were that way except they trashed their own knowledge and "believed" in a Higher Existence who knows and lets us know only what we need to know. For example, this full moon looks so beautiful in the middle of the night but the moment you start researching it or even become part of the expedition to the moon, landing on it, you'd know it is NOT as beautiful as it seemed from millions of miles away on earth. The closer you come, the more knowledgeable you become. And knowledge, although empowers you to achieve things that you may never otherwise, it does take away the curiosity or the suspense of the unknown. That's why a child's innocence is the best way that I can look at anyone who has wronged me or anyone else out there. They were born as an innocent baby, having no idea what truth is. We, sometimes invent our own truths which no matter anyone agrees to it or not, it is OUR truth, the very own that we guard with our life. The worst criminal out there has a side to his/her story which if dug deeper, you'd find some genuine excuses which he/she opted to use while committing those wrongs. I know forgiving is NOT in our own hands as we are not (and probably can't NEVER ever be) that knowledgeable about "everything" that everyone does whatever they do. Sometimes, there's peace in being selfish and sometimes there's this melancholy or sadness in our inability to sacrifice our own needs, putting someone else' first. Disappointments happen and always for a reason. I'd never want to waste my time in finding that reason as that will actually stop me from being disappointed again in another person's hands. If that's life to be disappointed, sad, always in a melancholy way, then let it be. But I 'd never stop living, exploring as this curiosity to "know" is overwhelming despite any kind of wisdom that these number of years (in life) might have gifted to me. A very lovely song, very true words... actually pointing to someone who does not have ability to forgive or simply chooses to stay in that melancholy state of mind. On positive side, it is good too as one disappointment is sometimes all that we need to have eternal peace in our own souls. I can complain about everyone disappointing me, without looking into the mirror at my own disappointments that many might have suffered through. But then, who cares to look into the mirror cause the view is sometimes not very pleasant. These people are either going to commit suicide one day or choose a solitary life over a social one. This song is about a person who tried to give love a try and lost it. After seeing the loss, this person continued to give love more tries with so many people. But unfortunately, nothing worked. This person is not really in love with all those stars. His/her quest began with one star and after losing that love, s/he continued searching his/her love in every new star but could not find it. However, this person does not seem to tire. Rather s/he is so confident that no matter how much are those heart-broken people making noises or screams, this person sleeps so well (peacefully) that at least s/he started the fire (of life) in that calm, yet bored life of his/her own and many other people. I think this song is more suitable for a slutty person who has sex with so many in the hope of finding love, but is utterly dismayed each time by seeing them treating sex as sex, instead of love. So, yes, in darker ways, this person is an alien on a planet of aliens where nobody knows what love is. And all those new people will think of themselves as just another new victim of him/her lost love. This search will never end because that lost love will never revive, hence the tragedy (of the pursuit of love) will continue to live forever, creating more tragic stories (of love). It all started with first loss of love. I think this is not fair to punish other people for the wrongs of someone else. And yes, it demonstrates another principle of love which is very true that you fall in love only once during your lifetime. All other times, you are simply giving your best shot at mocking the first love. People are so different from each other and it is the beauty of nature that out of trillions of people's souls out there, not two people's souls match each other's. This is the reason one-way love is completely a non-sense attitude towards life. Yes, love is blind and you can fall in love without much reason or logic. But still, the same one-way love creates a tragedy which becomes a seed, giving birth to a tree full of the fruits of poisonous love that can never ever give life to anyone innocent looking for love. On a positive note, if you have loved someone truly and did not opt deliberately to create other tragic stories in other people's lives after the loss of yours. You have become knowledgeable about how it feels to be in love. You can become closer to God (if you believe in One) as you may start feeling everything anew in this world and universe. You used to walk before being in love. But after this new happening in your life, you start smiling to your own self in your lonely moments as if you are surrounded by that person's love (without them being around). You touch trees, flowers, birds or even lifeless objects and feel so different than you used to be. It is like you lived in a dark night and never knew there is sun out there. And now, early in the morning, soon after dawn, you walk around every being in universe, feeling so different and at times vibrant about life and love. I know this was a long rambling but this song helped me look at love's tragic and positive sides. There's only one thing that I can derive from all this i.e. If someone tries to love you truly, never ever let that opportunity go away from your life. Even if you can't love that person like they deserve to be loved. By embracing their love, you'd lessen the heavy burdeons onto so many chests which are full of tears and feeling heavy under a weight of the humongous loss of their first love. |
