Within both the doleful meolody and tone of his voice...it is like a deep self-hatred and shame. He feels as though the horrible person he sees himself as and the constant inner self-beradment are what he deserves, rather than all of the "stupid pity" of those around him...which simply frustrate him and create a further realization of being fake or shameful. The "amuse myself with pots of paint" could be his creative outlet, his inner demons coming out in art. And pointless trials may be the daily routine, and his part in it...he is tired and jaded. *Shrug* I guess, overall, I just saw this as a personal expression of his...rather than a take on society. |
