Am I the only one pissed off about how much of a sell out this song is? And basically this whole album for that matter.
I mean honestly... "I have a total crush on you, baby and I can't let it go, oh no." and "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven, girl?"
It actually pains me to hear Max sing these words.
Someone tell me it's a joke or something because I cannot make myself believe Say Anything would stoop to this level.

This is so beautiful. I love how he creates a circle in going from the girl in his bed, to last night, to the present and future. He talks about all these serious things in his life like record sales and moving home, but then he finishes with "and I'll be happy because we won't be taking anything too seriously". Absolute genius. |

This song was not written for new moon. It's so much better than that.
Her voice is hauntingly beautiful. The lyrics are perfectly placed together.
It's about being attached to a person so strongly that you can't be released from their "gravitational pull" so to speak. No matter how much she wants to get away she know she can't. The first couple lines I think are her talking to herself. It's like she wants so bad to move on and live life, but it's impossible. she knows she will always love him. |

to me this is about a person who got herself into a situation that caused her to feel upset, paranoid and worried for a long time. she was unable to get rid of this feeling because this situation seemed unbeatable. "I tied knots in the laces of my worried shoes" but then she realized that it was possible to overcome and she "took off her worried shoes" and decided that caring and worrying are different and she could be happy again. its beautful. |

This song is so obviouisly about suicide i'm suprised I didn't notice the meaning until i listened to it a few times. The song is so beautiful it distracts you from the depressing background of the lyrics. |
