To me, this song is about how we get preoccupied with things that don't really matter like conspiracy theories (e.g. Chemtrails) and all the while there are real issues that go on ignored. In the first verse, he's mesmerized by the jets going by, and all the while people are literally dying. I think it's a eerily true commentary on your average American. |
