To me it sounds a lot like 'The Bakery'. The music and lyrics are written in a pretty similar way. These lyrics are pretty self-explanatory really. He misses a girl so he tries to replace her with a similar girl and asks if he can call them 'her' name. It gets a bit weird towards the end though, with the bit about him and 'her' sister. Best track on 'Humbug' for me. |

Amazing tune, but weird lyrics... I'm not really sure what the verses mean. I think the chorus could have something to do with fans at gigs waving their arms around to 'cast a shadow of a snake pit on the wall', but I'm not sure. Along with 'Cornerstone' this is the best track on the album for me. |
