First off, its "A blow below the ribs", as in a low shot or a cheap shot, not "A blubba load ribs". Secondly, this is a great rip on Maria and really shows how clever some of eminem's lyrics are. He obviously doesn't have a problem coming right out with the raunchy, offensive lyrics; but he also mixes in a few veiled lines with more of a hidden meaning. My favorite example: "I can describe areas of your house that you wouldn't find on an episode of Cribs" On Maria's episode of cribs, if I recall correctly, she didn't let the cameras in to see her bedroom claiming that area was for her only, or something like that. This is the area that eminem refers to, since he is claiming he and Maria shagged, he would have seen her bedroom obviously. Another lyric correction: "I was gonna stop at 16. THAT WAS 32." Bars is a measure of time in music, kinda like a line. |
