i was at the show in tempe where nate's parents were in the same room, and he said this song was about them. he kept looking at them and smiling. it was a great moment. nate needs to keep writing songs about his parents. "on your porch" & "the gambler" are two of the best songs, lyrically, to come from that man's pen. |
