I don't care for these lyrics...they just sound like some dance song =P But what I'm HOPING is that the "party" is a metaphor. Like they're saying you can do whatever you want, because we're all going to die anyway, so might as well go down happy anyway. So basically the message is, do whatever you want in life, as long as it makes you happy. |

I don't see why everyone thinks this is about god saving people. I think it's more of an anti-religon song. Like the patients doubting how he'll end and doubting god. He keeps repeating "Someone save us" and "Heaven help us now" but no ever comes to save him(ex:Spitting out the blood, the punchline to the joke is asking someone save us), no one ever answers back. He sounds so helpless. And he keeps questioning; Will you lay for me? Will you make a saint of me? He sounds unsure to me. And then he thinks "Well so what, maybe, if there even is a god, I'll burn for my sins" Maybe I think this just because I'm an atheist, but I don't find it very "religon is the answer" type of song. I find it a DOUBTING religon song. |

Fuck all of you who say this song is gross and Gerard knows nothing about it, and this is a "shitty" band and this song isnt deep and your a fucking pansy to cry about it. And this isnt recycled you tards. Number one: It isn't gross, its about cancer. Number tow: How the fuck do you know Gerard doesnt mknow about cancer? If you hate them, about you know shit about how his life has been. He knows about DEATH and cancer can be used as a metaphor. Number 3: They ARENT shitty, i hate hate people who think that "They're SO much more lyk hardcore and better" because they listen to metal bands, wtf? Number 4: Anyone who says this song isnt deep and you cant cry at it are stupid! Your being hyopcriitical, i bet anyone who said that hasnt had cancer either! So you're saying your on expert on cancer, but Gerard isnt? And lastly: How is it recycled? wtf? I love this song, it's sad, yes it is sad to all haters with no lifes. |

I think this song is about a lonely guy in the desert. To me it's about a couple who ran away from their past criminal nights, and find themselves in the desert. Then the girl leaves the guy after she says she doesnt love him anymore. Leaving the guy alone in the desert, having no meaning to live and he's tired of endless life "tonight will it ever come?" and the girl come back in the beginning a little after she leaves, but then goes again "Did you come back to stare, or to wash away the blood?" so she leaves, angry, and she never goes back. The guy lives in the desert, no meaning of life "rocking out, just for the dead" like dead mummies and such, and he sings to himself. And he imagines the girl, ALL the time, and reflects on his sad life. This is a complicated song, i think it has a different meaning for everyone. I also heard Gee wrote it drunk. |

One thing clear: MCR ARE NOT SELLOUTS! sellouts are when they write about strippers, making out and dancing for people who like to hear about it cuz it's "cool" and they do it for big money and dont care about their fans. MCR loves their fans, writes how their feeling and sure they do it for money, but that's not all they care about! I think this is a song about 2 people knowing eachother for a long time, and eventually they both start to fall in love even though the guy has liked the girl forever. But then a new guy walks into the picture and takes the girls away, leaving the old guy heartbroken, and he keeps trying to be with the girl, and she demands he leaves, so he goes away, telling her he knows he's not worthy. In the end , she regrets her decision i think, and hes like "Well YOU wanted me to go" and doesnt take her back. |

I think that this album isnt entirely concept.Yes, most of it is, but some songs dont fit in. All these people suggesting the person kills a women in every song, disgusts me, because that's like saying Gerard kills his grandma "Helena" was written about her death hurting and effecting people, him too, I dont think it means he killed her. I mean even if he wanted to write a concept, would you REALLY write about killing your grandma? I mean, that death effected him, would he really want to even THINK he caused her death? Especially the one who taught you your career? no. I think Helena was simply a tribute. And the ghost of you was definently a war song, not murder. But getting back to this song, i think that it's about a couple, who hardly know eachother, but they're always high and do dangerous, illegal things and they think they're in love, because they're under the influence. Gerard sees this girl suffering, and he tries to quit his addiction, and he remembers his oath and watches this girl die. But one day he's high too, and they get arrested, they're in a hospital, Gerard turns out fine, but he still needs to hold on, but the girl he sort of likes is dieing, she's telling him to please let her die, and he wants her to die (1000 bodies must die) , but also wants her to live, so he tells her to hold on for now. But i think she dies. |

Well i see two interprations to this song: the first one: Gerard secretly loves this girl, and she really wants someone to love her, and she really wants someone to love. Gerard figures out someone loves her somewhere else. He's too shy to admit he loves her, and he wants to make her happy so he's contemplating "would she still stay if i told her someone loved her?" and she probablt wouldn't so he's wondering if he should tell her his feelings, or just tell her that someone out there loves her, the easy option. second meaning: He knows a person that's misunderstood, and feels unloved, feels like they have nothing. So they want to commit suicide.But Gerard wants them to stay (since he tries to stop suicide) so he's trying to say "Well you'll find someone out there that loves you, if you just stay and try" I'm pretty sure the 2nd one was more accurate, i thought of it later, though, the first one was just what i imagined the first time i heard it. |

Well I think this song is pretty blunt, not literal. But the great thing about MCR's songs are that they mean different things to different people =D. These lyrics are quite off, but here's how i interpret this song. Gerard is saying that his fans parents/elders misunderstand these kids obsession with them and think that my chem is "turning them into a suicide cult", when really the fans find home in my chem (a place they feel loved and safe) When it talks about his gun firing seven different shades of shit, I think Gerard's teasig the parents, and mockingly being the bad guy, and pretending to kill the teens that love him. and the fans are begging to meet Gerard and the band, and the parents dissaprove and the fan's begging Gerard "would you leave me lying here?" meaning "can you really leave me with them? YOUR my home". And when it says "Angel dont you cry" Gerard's comforting his fans when they're upset about they're parents misunderstanding their love with my chem who saved them. |
