I think one section is how Karen whilst trying to cope with Post Natal Depression, imagines the voice or thoughts of her child: "this will never end cause i want more more, give me more, give me more" Then afterwards Karen is explaining or apologising for her feelings: "if i had a heart i could love you if i had a voice i would sing after the night when i wake up i'll see what tomorrow brings" I agree with the above. I think the song is about how Post Natal Depression has effected Karens ability to establish a connection with her newborn child. |
