Absolutely gorgeous. I love how he just keeps going... the pain of a break up never ends quickly like some songs suggest, it always just feels like you could keep crawling deeper into the pit of despair til there's nothing left :D Also, when it says 'my party piece', could it possibly be saying 'my parting piece'? That's what I heard. Peace. |

| Shiny Toy Guns – Blown Away (When Revelation Calls) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I took it to mean like constant tears creating solid water running down his face. Or to go with alithaven's interpretation, it could mean some kind of.. shield or something blocking him from the world, or masking it because of what he's been through. Idk, that's just my interpretation. | |
| MGMT – The Youth Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I love how this song is so controversial and has a zillion different meanings. :) I think that's how it was meant to be, make people think and stuff. Love it. | |

This song actually made me think of children looking up at adults and making fun of how they grew up and grew ugly. But they're also jealous "they'll never know that they have everything" "They make fools of us", "All their laughing and their talking and their wasting of our time" sounds like adults/parents in a child's point of view to me. And when the children grown up "hurts to see them now that everything is different we don't like to see their eyes 'cause they will never look the same" they're sort of regretting making fun of the adults because that is what they are now. For the third stanza... it sort of reminds me of teenagers' perspective as opposed to a child's like the first stanza. I don't know, this is just what I thought of. |

| Counting Crows – Amy Hit The Atmosphere Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I like to think the narrator doesn't know whether Amy came out alive and he is waiting to find out, hence "I wanna know, I wanna know" etc. but he's really scared that he'll find out she's died: "And all I really know is I don't wanna know". But that's just my take on it. | |
| Tegan and Sara – Downtown Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| to me this song is like having a relationship with someone that obviously loves you when you're alone together, but acts like you're nothing when you're in public together. and you're trying to be okay with that, telling yourself it's okay, you won't tell anyone, but you sit all night wishing they'd accept the relationship and come out about it(distracting you. but you really love them so you're willing to give them time. | |
