I think this song is about a secret relationship. (as the MV suggests) But also in the line "You made me do, when I dont like dancing in the alley with the street rat nightlife" Obviously the girl doesn't want anyone to know whats going on, but he likes her so everything they do is in private. Prehaps in this relationship he put more into it and made her a priority when he was just an option "Suburban feeling that I'm giving up, everything for you" Maybe now, the girl has just given up on their relationship but since it was nothing serious [to her] she didn't really care about him "How was I supposed to know that you were over me" and now he has to move on with his life after coming to this realisation. "I think I should go" and "I've fought it for a long time now While drowning in a river of denial I washed up, fixed up, picked up All my broken things" This song is amazing. i think the best part of the song is the ending. throughout the whole song he just says how he wants her to love him back but in the end with the lines Why won't you just love me back? Why cant you just love me back? He realises that its not that she wont love him back its that she CAN'T. Sounds like he understands and can try and move on. |

I only signed up to this so i could comment on this song. Its amazingly beautiful. Its so hard to describe how perfect this song is. I had a love problem with some guy and i honestly thought he was perfect and amazing. infact i still do. he cheated on me. and i still love him... im pathetic but this this song is pulling me through. So heres my opinion. I think the guy and his girlfriend have just broken up and shes moved on without him "im just hoping you're not seeing his face" "Long enough to know that it was him that took my place" and he still remembers the times they had together and now shes having them with someone else. I think hes in the stages of anger "i hope you like your pictures facing down" "and im burning all the letters and hoping id forget her and her bad taste" but he also still has a shred of home "even broken hearts have their doubts" maybe he still believes its not time to have a broken heart and that something might happen obviously hes really hear broken and possibly couldn't take it and still cant. she left him while he was madly in love with her and she left him vulnerable. "When she was leaving me Alive but barely breathing As she walked out of this place" also when she left it seemed like she really didn't care like he gave everything for her and she took it and left "And you dropped the note and we changed key You changed yourself and I changed me I really didn't see us singing through this Then you screamed the bridge And I cried the verse And our chorus came out unrehearsed Then you smiled the whole way through it I guess maybe that's what's worse" and she never cared either. i think in leaving him the girl has made the guy loose faith in everyone else "i dont need you or anybody else" and he wants her to just look him in the eye one last time and tell him anything So take a look at me See what you want to see When you get home he wants her to look at him and see how he feels either if thats pain or that hes finally realised he doesn't need her anymore. who knows. but he wants her to see what he is feeling. and finally this part being the most impacting take me home id rather die than be with you Take me home You have a problem with the truth Take me home Because this happens Every time I knew it would I knew it would i think while they were going out she always lied and there were always problems that he was awear of but he still kept with it because he loved her. it also turns out that its happened before maybe not quite serious . but now its over. mayday parade <3 my love burned out and i cant stop crying but this song makes me feel so much better to know im not alone and put my feelings into words. |
