this song screams addiction. this song describes the first phases of addiction. its so hard to let go of. it def. comes with teeth, it bites at you everyday. takes your money, dignity, pride. it fuckin bites back. its a hard thing to go through. thats why he sais I cannot go through this again...cuz its a bitch. the verses explain it al.....the line blurs...from things you used to do the way you used to be to things you've changed into, you find yourself trying those things youve said youd never do. you change the rules of your life....and she will not let you go.....this songs so true |

this song to me is about his past addictions and how it will always affect his life and how it could turn out to be very easy going back...She to me refers to his drug. "she turns me on, she makes me real" - the drug makes him feel alive. "dont have to appologize for the way i feel" - he doesn't care when he's done the drug, it makes him feel like nothing really matters and since it feels so good why apologize? he sings about revamping himself but expresses how easy it could be to fall back. this is trent's first sober album and through some songs he expresses the turn of addiction |

I think this song seems to be a follow up to Beside You in Time, clearly he expresses some loyalty he had toward someone now gone from his life, maybe like his grandmother i believe. beside you in time and lights in the sky can clearly stretch back to the fragile days like were in this together now, its an ongoing story of his love for the woman that took care of him and helped him the most. |
