| They Might Be Giants – My Evil Twin Lyrics

I don't think there is an evil twin. He probably is the evil twin [hey like in Fight Club!] "My Friends have seen him hiding underneath my skin" He's explaining his evil side, or making a lame excuse. "No! It was my evil twin who did donuts on the neighbors lawn!" |

Word for word, Gano's explanation of the song on a bootleg live CD I own. "This is a song about being out of high school, and the love being gone." |

| They Might Be Giants – Ana Ng Lyrics

This song is about soul mates. Even if there were a single person perfect for another person, the chances of meeting them are nearly impossible considering the vast amount of people who live on this Earth. The narrator of this song is convinced that this love exists somewhere ont he other side of the globe. [and yes, I believe Ng is a vietnamese name] The line about them both getting old shows that the narrator is waiting for whomever this person may be. He assumes that she is waiting too. [after all she is perfect for him] |

Stereopathetic Soulmanure ranks among my top 3 beck albums, higher the Odelay, [Though it's close] I didn't like it on the first listen, but after I got over the weird voices, the unnecessary noises, and the messed up tracks I've come to love it.
1. Mellow Gold 8.One Foot in the Grave
2. Mutations 9.Midnite Vultures
3. Stereopathetic Soulmanure 10. Modern Guilt
4. Odelay
5. The Information
6. Guero
7. Sea Change |

Is anyone else hearing a Jack White/Robert Plant combination on vocals? That what it sounds like to me. |

Not their best. It's alright but it's no where near as good as the rest of their songs. Of course it can be bad timing when I tell someone I don't like "Woman" and what they hear is I don't like women. |

| They Might Be Giants – The Statue Got Me High Lyrics

It ind of reminds me of the episode of the Simpsons, when Ned opens the Bible theme park and the gas line near the statue of Maude gets everyone high and they thought they could see heaven. I know that's not what this is about though. |

People are entitled to their own thoughts. Why don't you grow up and learn to respect other peoples opinions. Don't you think it's a bit of an assumption to suggest that she is just some 13 year old following trends? I hope your not like this in your everyday life. If you are, you are a prime example of the faction of society that desperately needs to go extinct.

| The Raconteurs – Salute Your Solution Lyrics

I think twirly Red is right about what he has interpreted. But Brendan's verse, at least the first half, is sung from a completely different perspective. Brendan is looking for a solution, but no matter what "prize" he got, it was not his solution. People around him keep getting what they want, but he only gets "a ridicule that isn't cool for him at all". Jack tunes in on the second half because they are singing about how they will turn their lives around. The "only one I'm taking" refers to them solving their own problems and not those of others. |

| Modest Mouse – Bankrupt on Selling Lyrics

To me this entire album [The Lonesome Crowded West] seems to be about western civilization. This song focuses on the notion of trying to be chic [in style], and being fake as in, "All the people yoe new were the actors." |
